First Sunday in the Mission field
This last week-end Mom had many wonderful experiences. One in particular was her first Sunday in the mission field. She and her companion were handing out programs before sacrament meeting. A member approached her, read her name tag and asked if she knew an Elder Black that served in this area in the 60's. Mom asked if he was from Indiana and they responded, yes. Mom's response was yes, that's my husband. Needless to say, the person starting crying and it turns out Dad baptized her and four others over 40 years ago in the very same ward mom is now assigned to. They are planning on teaching the father of one of the member Dad baptized. This is just another witness to us that she is preaching the Lords's gospel and she is exaclty where Heavenly Father wants her!

Called to Serve!
Monday April 14th, 2008
Reported to the M.T.C (missionary training center) in Provo, Utah. After taking my sister Dawn and myself throught the front doors of the M.T.C it was now her turn to serve. Mom appeared to be both confident and extremely excited. We talked, we laughed, we took pictures, and the time came to say our goodbyes. It was a bittersweet moment, as we will miss her dearly but we know she will bless the lives of many as she shares her testimony of the Savior!
